The most relevant events and activities for the NeCS team in 2014 are:
- C. Canudas de Wit serves as General Chair for the European Control Conference;
- Launch of the SPEEDD project Feb 2014;
- Launch of the COMFORT project, which supports the associate Team between Inria project-teamNeCS and the Berkeley University project PATH
- Launch of the LOCATE-ME Persyval project (Apr. 2014 to Aug. 2015) in collaboration with the Tyrex team.
- The team has organized the HYCON2 Show Day in May 2014

- President Elect of the European Control Association EUCA;
- IEEE CSS Distinguished Lecturer;
- Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Control System Technology (since January) and of IEEE Transactions on Control of Network Systems (since June).

- Carlos Canudas de Wit has been elected as member of the Board of Governor (BoG) of the IEEE Control System Society (CSS).

The most relevant events and activities for the NeCS team in 2011 are the following:
- The organization of the 3rd annual Consortium Meeting of the FeedNetBack European project, held at Inria in Montbonnot Saint Martin, on October 11-12; a review meeting session and scientific presentations from peoples involved in the FeedNetBack project have been organized.
- The recruitment of a new researcher in the team: Hassen Fourati has joined the NeCS team as an UJF Associate Professor (Maître de Conférences), since September.
- NeCS team published 28 communications in national and international conferences, 8 papers in international journals, 1 scientiï¬c book chapter, 11 research reports and 1 patent.

The most relevant events and activities for the NeCS team in 2010 are the following:
- The organization of the 2nd IFAC Workshop on Distributed Estimation and Control in Networked Systems (NeCSys 2010), an international workshop which was held in Annecy on September 13-14.
- The organization of the 2nd FeedNetBack annual workshop.
- The nomination of Carlos Canudas de Wit in the Board of Governors of the IEEE Control Systems Society.
- The creation in January of the start-up KARRUS-ITS.
- The recruitment of a new researcher in the team: Federica Garin has joined NeCS as an Inria Junior Researcher (CR2).
- The publication of two books: Co-design approaches for dependable networked control systems and Dry clutch control for automotive applications.

The main new facts of the year are:
- The recruitment of a new researcher in the team: Alain Kibangou has joined NeCS as Associate Professor within the UJF-CNRS chair framework, since September.
- The organization of a workshop at Courchevel: "Cases-study definitions" for the European FeedNetBack project (January 29-30).
- Three patents have been deposed.
- A book on co-design approaches for networked control systems has been prepared [1]; it will be published in 2010.
- The recruitment of 2 new PhD students and 3 PostDocs.

During the second year of existence of the NeCS project-team (officially created on January 1, 2007), its members successfully kept up the efforts towards external collaborations and funding. The main new facts are:
- The recruitment of a new researcher in the team: Alexandre Seuret has joined NeCS as CNRS CR, since October.
- The kickoff of the FeedNetBack project, a STREP project from the European Commission [8.2]; the project started on September.
- The recruitment of 2 new PhD students, 3 PostDocs and a young engineer.

During the first year of existence of the NeCS project-team (officially created on January 1, 2007), its members succesfully kept up the efforts towards external collaborations and funding which were initiated during the project creation phase, leading to two national and one European new contracts:
- ConNeCT has been elected for funding by the ANR and started in May [8.1.2].
- ARAVIS started in October, in the framework of the Minalogic pole [7.1].
- Last but not least, the FeedNetBack proposal as been elected for funding as a STREP project by the European Commission in December for an expected start by mid-2008 [8.2].
